My awarding procedure with WSIB started in August 2013 and concluded in April 2014. 8 months seems a bit ridiculous, it'southward not like I was existence vetted past the White House. And after all the months of waiting I was told that WSIB isn't really hiring. The interview process for the Eligibility Adjudicator position consisted of 4 stages: Phase 1: A telephone interview that took about 20-30 minutes. The individual from Hour that I spoke with was new to WSIB and was not certain virtually a lot of things and wasn't able to answer some questions that I had. Phase 2: A testing phase that took identify at the head office in Toronto. We were told to be at that place no later than 9:30am and the testing was due to offset at 10:00am. The individual from Hour didn't arrive until 9:45am and we didn't go out the lobby until about 10:15am. No explanation was given as to the cause of the delay. Additionally, the HR individual seemed in a bustle and wasn't particularly mindful when leading the candidates down to the testing room. It would have been very easy to get left behind. Stage three: An essay for which WSIB provided the topic. This was the about straightforward portion of the interview procedure. Stage 4: An in-person interview which took place at one of the local offices. Neither of the interviewers seemed like they wanted to be at that place as they seemed distant and not interested in anything I said. In fact, they made me feel less intelligent with every question that I answered. Following my in-person interview I received an email from a former colleague. This colleague knows someone that works for WSIB. I was informed that if I was offered a position that I better call back carefully almost it and to thoroughly review my contract of employment. Apparently the employees haven't been permitted their vacations in over two years due to being brusque staffed. Additionally, new employees will exist told what office they volition be working out of, simply after the extensive training process at the head office in Toronto, these new employees are told that if they want to keep working for WSIB that they must work out of the Toronto office, and not the part they were hired for. Despite being allotted sick time, if yous phone call in sick you'll get fired and if you question anything you'll get fired. When I read this very disconcerting electronic mail I immediately thought that, if any of the information was true, WSIB was peradventure in breach of contract, human rights violations and violations of the union's collective agreement. I sincerely promise that the information contained in the email I received is incorrect but I've been assured that it most certainly is not. Less
